Washing Hair Tips: Shampooing the Roots, Conditioning the Ends

Do you want to have healthy yet beautiful hair? If you do, you need to check back the way you wash your hair because it significantly influences the condition of your hair. It is true that dirty hair needs to be washed in order to keep it healthy.

However, washing hair inappropriately will only damage your hair. Your hair might lose its shine and become too dry. As a result, split ends can be found in almost all strands of hair.

Actually, washing hair has two important things to consider. You should apply shampoo only on the roots or scalp and apply conditioner only from the middle to the ends of your hair. Shampooing your scalp is intended to clean all dirt including oil.

If hair follicle is covered by dirt, it cannot support hair maximally. Shampoo does not need to be applied on the hair. Instead, let the shampoo that you apply on the scalp clean the rest of the hair when you rinse it.

After your hair is clean from shampoo, you can start applying conditioner from the middle to the ends of the hair because the roots have produced enough oil. Hair conditioner helps moisten the hair because shampoo that you use usually can eliminate hair moisture.
