What is Heart Face?
If you have a broad forehead and strong cheekbones with a narrow chin, then you have a heart face. Reverse of triangular shape, it is defined by wide at the forehead and cheekbones, but narrow at the jawline. Heart face symbolizes clever, intelligent, & expert (that’s why the traditional alien/E.T. face shape typified by heart shaped face with large forehead).
Hairstyles for Heart Faces
With a heart face shape, your main aim should be to give some width around narrow chin, or add length at the top to balance the narrow chin. Textured & wispy layers chin-length hairstyles will suit best. Side swept fringe will flatter your forehead. Short hair with semi spiky soft layer on the top & short sides also work for you.
Right Eyeglasses for Heart Faces
To minimize the width on the top face, you can try frames with thin rim. Eyeglasses frames that are wider at the bottom work best for you.
Hairstyles to Avoid
Short & full hair on the top that are slicked back will emphasize your upper face. Too much height at the crown with heavy straight across bangs will make you look top heavy.

Fauxhawk works well for heart faces. It can add height & flatter the wide forehead.
Dang! I thought heart shape faces were for women. Isn’t there another name they call tha face shape for men, cause I’m smaller at the bottom and wider at the top.

That’s awesome to hear. According to my researches heart-shaped faced guys like us would have short, cropped, close-to-the-scalp hair like Justin Timberlake’s, but I was worried that that it would accentuate my hairline which is pretty high. Since 13 (I’m 20), I lived with bangs, and my hair is soft and shiny. It’s so black, it sparkles in when sunlight hits it, and under the moonlight, it looks almost blue. It’s great to hear Chace Crawford’s hair as an option dude. : )

I'm a black man with i think, a inverted triangle/Heart shaped face.
I normally have short hair and i think this makes my forehead look big but i don't know what other hairstyle to choose because i can't find a guide for black men. Anyway my problem is the hair on my sides is thin and takes longer than the rest of my hair to grow and it actually looks like I'm loosing hair on my sides. This makes my face look really weird. I think I’m heart shaped faced guy, and I lived my whole life with bangs, especially (20 yrs.) when my hairline started being high. On my research it says that cropped, short and close to scalp is the best, I’m kinda worried. Wouldn’t it accebtuate my broad forehead and my high hairline?
