No one wants to suffer from skin irritation and ingrown hairs that follow shaving. Both men and women have these skin faults, but with men, the unsightly bumps and blemishes are more obvious.
As you shave with these bumps, it is easy to scrape the top of them off during subsequent shaves, eventually leading to a danger of infection. Repeated abrasions of your skin will create scars over time. Here is a method for making your own Tend Skin.
The solution is very inexpensive and only takes a few minutes of time to prepare. It is not complicated to make. Better yet, all the ingredients are readily available at your local supermarket or pharmacy. The resulting concoction is clean, cool and soothing. By following the easy instructions, every step of the procedure is described. You won’t need a prescription or expensive topical solutions.
The ingredients can be found locally. You will need uncoated aspirin, 70% isopropyl alcohol and witch hazel. The cost will be less than $5 in most instances. You may even have enough of these supplies in your medicine chest already to make up a batch of solution. Two containers will be needed in order to do the mixing.
Using clean bottles that can be capped easily, pour 5.5 ounces of the 70 percent alcohol into one container and add a count of 18 uncoated aspirin to the alcohol in the container. In the second clean container, pour 2.5 ounces of the witch hazel liquid with a count of eight more of the aspirin. These two containers should be allowed to sit for at least half an hour.
Once the time is expired, the aspirin should be dissolved or nearly dissolved in the liquids. If necessary to complete the dissolving process, shake both bottles vigorously until the aspirin is fully dissolved in the liquid.
You may then combine the mixture from the two solutions into one and shake thoroughly again. Apply the mixture to distressed and irritated skin using a cotton ball. Improvement is typically seen within 24 hours of the first application.
When you learn how to make your own Tend Skin, you will have the product available all the time just by making the mixture and keeping it available. A batch of the concoction will typically have a shelf life of six months or so, but will keep indefinitely when the solution is kept in a cool environment.
It can be applied immediately after shaving in order to reduce the appearance of bumps, ingrown hairs, redness and abrasions due to improper shaving techniques and less than sharp blades.
