With this haircut, since it is shorter you might have to go for a pomade or forming cream. Forming cream has a strong hold but very flexible to work with. And pomade has the same things as pomade but it adds shine to your hair.
I like the 1st one, what type of product would i need to use? Are sides shorter than the top?

This style works on fine hair to medium hair texture. Using a slicing or point cutting technique will get U this look. using a paste or light molding creme always starting at the sides and working your way through the rest of the hair. Don't use heavy products, you could use a heavier product on more course hair.

I recently printed the first pic out to give to a new stylist. I have pretty straight and coarse hair. My stylist said the top of my hair wasn't long enough yet and to come back in a few weeks. How do you style the hair though? I need help, especially how to do the top! My stylist recommended me Shu Uemura styling putty, but I can't figure out how to do the top.

I've had my hair cut very short for about a decade - but I think it's time for a change, and I think I could pull this look off.
2 questions: I have very fine, very straight (swedish) hair - will that kind of hair work with this cut.
Second, a big part of the reason I've kept my hair short, is that I don't look forward to doing my hair every morning for work - how will this haircut look if I leave the house after just towel drying my hair - as I'm accustomed to doing?

The second photo's i have aroudn the same length hair, i just can't seem to style it correct, i usualy use the Wet look stylish products, shall i try some wax, or stylish foam?

Cool post. I think it would help if you posted how they go it cut (A fade, taper cut, size they got it cut, texturized, etc.). You know.
