Russell Ira Crowe is a Hollywood actor who was born in New Zealand (April 1964). Crowe won the Best Actor in 2001 for Gladiator (Oscar) & for Cinderella Man at 2005 (International Award). Now he has been named as an ambassador for Sydney, Australia.
As shown above, Crowe has long layered hair, combed side, center part that adds balance to his head, & he leaves a few strands in the forehead. Full layered hair on the side makes his face look broader & more proportioned.
This is his role as Maximus with his caesar hairstyle in the Gladiator. Maximus' sophisticated persona is based on Julius Caesar, the leader of Roman Military.

I'd take him bald....OMG! HOT!!
I like the middle one. I think I kinda look like Russell already but I want that longer hair! I wonder how long it takes?
I've been growing my hair for 2 years. If I pull the front down it goes to about my chin. If I don't pull it, the front hangs about 1 inch below my ears.
Krusty the klown
FYI- his persona in the movie isn't based on Julius Ceasar; it's based on Marcus Aurelius. The cut looks good, one of those styles that doesn't ever really go out of style.
I like him in Gladiator.
Tom F how is his persona based on Marcus Aurelius, yet Marcus is actually a character in the movie? Marcus is the Emperor that is murdered. Crowe's character is an amalgamation, not one person.
