  1. how in gods name do you do that

  2. More importantly, WHY in Gods name would anyone want to do that?!

  3. THATS TIGHT WISH I HAD HAIR TO DO THAT

  4. Wouldn’t really style my hair like that but jeez, you gotta give em props for getting such impressive lift.

    Like seriously epic

  5. They just look like posers to me! Americans adopted that pompadoor look!!!! POSERS!!!! The 50′s hoods started that!! ROCK N’ ROLL!!!!!!!

  6. probably they need to have that haircut because they their just to darn short

  7. They just look like posers to me! Americans adopted that pompadoor look!!!! POSERS!!!! The 50′s hoods started that!! ROCK N’ ROLL!!!!!!!

that is like saying American Punk is not possible because it originated in the UK.
Does it really matter who is wearing it, as long as it looks good?
Besides, most Japanese men who wear the pompadour hair are in gangs or are apart of the yakuza…..so I don’t think it would be wise to call them a poser, yo.
    Stop acting like a douche.

    • The Uk did not invent Punk Rock. The United States did. The Ramones predate UK Punk by years. The UK invented a look comprising various American style components. WE invented Rock And Roll too.

  8. That all have nothing to do with rockabilly !!! Just because they wear fat in their hair, they aren´t rockabilliys. Have you seen the video on Youtube ?! That isn´t rockabilly !!!!! Shame on you

  9. LMAO! They think they are bad ass
Unless they are part of the yakuza’s, then they have my full respect.

  10. how do they wear their motorcycle helmets over that?

  11. Well, despite all comments above, I think their hair is rad. These guys are SO awesome. If you had any idea what Japanes culture was like, you’d know how brave and outrageous they are for going out in public like that!

I think their hair is HOT.

  12. you all are stupid, they’re cooler than all of yas

  13. Last of the Last

These guys looks like my cousins did in the 50's & 60's. Same pompadours, same clothes, same "hard guy" attitudes. Very cool to think they're still out there, doin' what makes 'em happy.

    Banzai, boyo-sans!

  14. The 1950s are back in Japan

  15. MUKHA KANG G.A.G.O.!!

  16. None of these guys are Yakuza. The Yakuza are fully tattooed for the most part. It is part of an age old tradition to do so.

  17. Haha! These mofuckas are ballas.

  18. Some of these dudes may be Yakuza, some may not be. You arent required to be FULLY tattooed to be a Yakuza. It’s something acquired over time. Plus you can’t see much flesh in these pics. If they were tattooed it wouldn’t be visible with long sleeves because they would want to keep it hidden to the public.

Most of these comments are purely ignorant. They’re rocking a sweet style from a sweet era in American history because they think it was worth a damn. The Japanese have always been known to put perfection in anything they do. Here they’ve adopted the American Rockabilly style and made it something unique and of their own. Look into something before writing something off you ignorant morons.

  19. +1
great style made into thier own…. like every style should be!

  20. Its too bad we african americans got little to no credit watsoever for starting rock & roll along with that damn lool

  21. ^^ hairstyle

  22. check out Peter Bjorn and John "nothing to worry about" music video…..that's where you see this style in full blown view… (even the dancing!)

  23. Haha, it looks like csomething from Cromartie high…

    I love the Delenquient style!

  24. that is a wannabe pomp

  25. gotta love the japanese, knock it out, knock it down, knock it up

  26. damn asians there wanna be rockabilly hair sucks just like their driving

  27. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PVniEYCdaoM&feature=PlayList&p=FDE32435B83D9C97&index=0&playnext=1

Do they deliberatley shave their hairlines back to make it look like they are receding (or at least have a killer widows peak) on purpose?

  28. Really
Do they use clay to shape that thing
I cant believe how long itd take to make it shape up just like that

  29. I think it looks cool, for like those guys, I usually dont style my hair for Im afraid of how riddiculis it might look, but these guys gave me inspiration to do so, and for those people who throw around the word poser, your're probally some 14 year old idiot who heard that word on some stupid movie so you decided it would be cool to start throwing it around like you know what a real poser is, well if you wanna find out just take a look in the mirror ;)

  30. that was cool dude! i wonder how they do that…

  31. impressive height but thats straight up hair spray them lines are too straight

  32. They should use grease, hair spray makes it look stringy lol,but it still looks tight. For those of you calling them posers, i agree with the other foo. I bet your little kids who don't even know what a real poser is. Besides how can you just assume that their posers based on looks? There are lots of good psychobilly/rockabilly bands coming out of japan. Same with punk music. I bet you think your pretty hard with your Tiger army and Horrorpop crap. That aint psycho. Listen to Robin, good Japanese psycho band.Don't think just because your from america or u.k, you just own the look. I like the fact that other countries are so interested in our music and fashion. If they want to listen and dress the way we do. Then all power to them.

  33. Daaaaaaaaaaaayum!!!

Them japs be rockin' some mad pompadours!

    I give em' mad props…

  34. The most sincere form of flattery is imitation.

i grew up on 60's rock and country, and i dont usually rock this style, but i say props to anyone who takes it seriously enough to grow their hair for over a year to attain that look, thats not done on a whim, thats a lifestyle choice and dedication. and for a crowd that, around here anyways, seems to appreciate all the help it gets, id say why not just appreciate the effort and support for a culture that none of us want to see die away…besides, the fakers will fall by the wayside, and only the most dedicated will remain.

  35. BESIDES my last comment, id like to state that just because theyre not american doesnt mean they cant be rockabilly. for instance, one of the best rockabilly bands ive heard is Hurrican Felix and the Southern Twisters, and regardless of citizenshi, the drummer (santo)and bass/vocalist (Felix) are clearly of latin descent. its also quite obvious that the culture remains past the show, into their lives, they live and breathe it.

If anyones uset about taking it to the extreme, this is simply taking an extreme to an extreme, rockabilly was a sort of punk style, a rebellion, and to say these japanese fans are posers would just be, well, hypocritical.

  36. They arent about being "rockabilly" or fitting stereotypes they are just out there having fun… If half of you guys baggin em would travel outside of your own countries you would know that Japanese do EVERYTHING to the extreme…. You dont have to be a seppo to be rockabilly I mean look at home many cool bands come out of the UK, Europe, Australia and places like japan….
Instead of being a hater maybe take a leaf from their book and just have fun and rock out….

  37. Jesus christ, what do these people know about America in the 50's. This is ridiculous. What a rip-off of Americas past.

  38. they probably know more about the 50′s than you do ive been out to japan to see the rockabilly calture and let me tell you they not only have there own style but have the kustom kulture down these people are so awsome to hage out with but with comment like that you will never know

  39. P. I. M. P. rockin it

  40. cool, they have personality and they don’t give a sh*** about what the other people say or think about them. like you

  41. And I thought the japanese mohawks where crazy looking when I was in japan….this is right up there!
