David Beckham fauxhawk hairstyle.
David Beckham is a popular football player who once played for Manchester United and Real Madrid. Now, he plays for LA Galaxy. He is also a full-blown metrosexual who often changes his hairstyle.

David Beckham faux hawk hairstyle.
Beckham worn faux hawk in around 2005. His hair on the top of the head is combed to resemble a small fan mohawk without buzzing or shaving the both sides of the head. Hair, surrounding his fauxhawk is quite short. So, it is called fauxhawk, or fake Mohawk.
To apply the style, you need hair wax/gel to keep your fake mohawk in place.

The picture where he’s wearing the suit where he’s got a little long in the back is that still called a fauxhawk? I tried to get this done, but it didn’t really look right because my hairs really thick…I don’t think I can get it like that if I have thick hair..
you could just ask your hairdresser to thin your hair…
The Third picture is the best, that is
really awesome, but why other people think he is gay, well I think he is the most sexiest man
i have spiked my hair for ages with gel and wax, it makes me look pretty cool, but i recommend using gel that is hard and long lasting so your hair stays in place for a long time. the picture of beckham with a suit is a fauxhawk id prefer to cut the sides and the back shorter than the top and leave the front part of ur hair a bit longer on the top then on the back this way u get a nice look and a cool finish. i hope this helps a bit!..
I have strong but very thick hair and I am about to get a fauxhawk but I don’t know whether or not to get it shorter in the back and longer in the front or leave some hair in the back and get it shorter in the front. Any opinions?
in the picture with him in the suit…
i have thick hair, do u think i can get it like that using D:fi hair product “dstruct” pliable molding creme
if not which is better for this? gel or wax? and what brand?
thank you.
i use d:fi and its amazing for this hairstyle.
For those who have thick hair and want to get a fauxhawk. The only way is using a hair straightener and then apply wax to it. Don’t use gel becuase it has moisture which will ruin your hairstyle if you have thick hair.
Get your hair straightened more often as this will decrease the thickness of your hair. It’s best to the hairdresser to cut your hair and ask them to that you want your to be thinned so your thick hair will suit the fauxhawk. After that, get your hair straightened.
yer i have a faux hawk and thick hair! ask ur hairdresser 2 thin it then u have 2 use hair straigthners and dax wax only way!
GHDs and dax wax… the way ahead
by the way, I think he David Beckham is a soccer player, not a football player….WOW.
Retard he plays football its not called soccer. American football aka Handball is a joke.
it’s called football everywhere in the world except the US… WOW…
in ireland it is called soccer coz we have our own sport called gaelic football. 🙂
wat kind of wax shud i use???….i mean which brand???… in order to have a fauxhawk style coz my hair is too thik…plzz advise!!!
you can use gatsby wax the black for longer hairs, mat and hard or the blue one, hard and free for extra shine for short thin hair,..
ffs dudes although i agree with the guy who sais david beckham plays football not soccer and football is an english sport, but this is a hairstyle site and you should rememer this and its not a slaging match.
i'm always changing my hairstyle and when i had the fauxhawk i like using Lock Stock & Barrel Ruck Putty it gave such a strong hold and always made the style look natural not forced into place 🙂
I have been experimenting with different hairstyles, and I have found that this style looks the best on me. I have run into a problem, though. I use a spiker gel to spike it up, and it stays up for a few minutes, but it gradually starts to fall down. I have tried using a little bit of gel, and I have tried using a lot of gel, and neither has made it stay up. My hair is only about 3 inches long, but it is so thick and heavy that “up” styles never stay up. Any recommendations for techniques or products? I could go shorter if necessary, but no shorter than 1 and a half inches.
taht happens to me 2!!
i HAD the exact same problem. thick, kinda curly hair. like what the hell can i do with rope hair?
straighten it. for real.
SAMS THICK HAIRED INSTRUCTIONS:
wash/get wet
dry with blow dryer (up)
Straighten
use de-frizzer, (makes it look natural, not FRIED)
use molding putty. (i use garnier fructis)
with the putty you can restyle and restyle its great stuff. i promise.
(spiking glue makes your hair look forced, and gel makes it look greasy and wont stay up.)
i finish up with hairspray (not the compressed kind) and bam.
lookin gooooood.
Hi, you guys all seem like experts here. I have really thick hair, that gets kinda curly when long, so i keep it short. I want to get a Fernando Torres style haircut. I was thinking a fauxhawk with long at the back and shorter on the sides (like above the ears and temple area) What do you think? Any tips?
PRETTY NICE FAUK HAWK I HAVE ONE MA SELF N IT LOOKZ JUST LIKE DA THIRD PIC OF DAVID N A SUIT….
N DA GURLZ LOVE IT=D
Umm, Use Got2B air Glue, That molds your hair in any shape, its what i use for my hair.
redkin rough clay and rough paste works the best for this, gel is gooey and wont hold but wax applied to the roots then out to the ends works the best for me… i have thick dark hair.
oh and make sure you wash your hair really good before you style it anddd condition it as well.
I do hair and thanks to David Beckham I cut this style at least once or twice a day. Dont use gel! It will hold for a while but it is too solid and crispy. When it moves or gets touched it will fall and will create white flakes. The key to Davids look is not only hold but hair that is moveable. In addition it has a matte finish. My favorite product for this style that I sell to guys more than anything else is by Crew and the product is called Fiber. Try it. Its pretty amazing for most any guy with a slightly messy style. It has a great moveable hold and it has no shine. Good Luck!
im going for a fauxhawk at the weekend. ive been a skin head for 7 years and now i have a nice full head of hair i dont have a fecking clue! Not too keen on the straighting idea of things, recently took the piss out of a bloke on our Football(kicking not throwing) team for this!
I just got my faux hawk and not a very good styler. So how exactly do u make it
can i have that haircut at school?
people are so stupid the picture of him wearing a suit
tell your barber the following
6 on the sides
and a fauxhawk but leave the back same lenght as the top
go to cvs or anyother drugstore and buy thinning scissors which make your hair thinner.(cut the top and back) YOU CANT MESS UP DONT WORRY!!
i have thick brown hair and have that exact hairstyle
how long does ur hair have to be to get the faux hawk in the first picture?
Best product I’ve found is Redken Urban Experiment 13: Nylon Clay… it’s got a strong hold, but a pliable matte finish so your hair doesn’t look like a plastic helmet. I get my sides and back trimmed with a 2 because I have very thick hair that stands straight out unless it’s pretty long (and I don’t want a mullet!)… the rest is scissored gradually longer towards the top to about 1.5 to 2 inches
Would like to know if you think this haircut would be a good match for my face? Could you tell me what shape my face is?
I have a picture on my blog page.
believe it or not using a small amount of axe spiking putty usually works for me. i have very thick hair, gets curly when long. my method involves no hair driers, nor do you have to ask your hair dresser to cut it a certain way. all you need is some styling product, preferably a putty, paste, or wax, a comb (optional), and some time (5 min max after a little practice)
first, i get my hair wet, usually in the shower. then, i towel off the back and sides well, and the top only enough to stop from dripping on the floor.
then i get dressed to give it a little time to air dry, as well as prevent my shirt from messing it up. you may want to try styling it at this point, as drying in the position you want helps
if your hair is still really wet, pat-dry it with your towel. the key is to have it a little wet, but not enough to water down your product, just enough to aid movement and spread while styling. i dab some axe spiking putty on two fingers, rub it into my palms, and spread it in my hair. then, either run your hand or a comb back through your hair, making it stand somewhat. using both hands i push it towards the middle, creating a ridge. pinching the hair between my fingers and palms, i pull it upward and slightly forward. this straightens the ridge further and gives it a forward-leaning look like most fauxhawks have. then just flatten out the ridge starting at the crown of your head, moving forward until your satisfied with the look
for very thick hair like mine the fauxhawk may look a little more like a mohawk, but not too much. also, i am trying a new method tomorrow, may work better
i have very spiky hair even at the side..so when it’s long it looks very spiky at the side and it looks awful..so how do i keep it flat n nice at the side (which really suits me)???
guys if you have thick hair it is no problem to get a ballin faux hawk it works really well actually i pulled the third bekham a little while ago looked really good just get your hair thinned out like really thinnned
cool, just not liking the tail in the back.
okay i get it a short mullet in the back and a faux hawk on top the girls love it
I have mildly wavy hair (honestly no clue if the hair itself is thick or thin) that is pretty short (typically between 3/4 of an inch and 2 inches depending on how recently cut)…how do you all go about straightening hair that short?
well, just by a straightening iron that has really small panels. Other than that, I don’t think that there’s any particular difference.
I would really like to give a faux hawk a try, but my forehead is huge cuz my hairline is pretty far back (i’m not going bald or anything lol just have a weirdly far back hairline) so I don’t know if this would look right on me, or what I could do to mask my hairline/forehead a bit….any tips?
I am a hair stylist of 20 years. A client came in and asked for a faux hawk, I said a faux what? He explain to me what it was, he asked If I could do it, I said Faux sure! it did turn out like these pictures. The pictures are great. Thank you. Now I have a good varitey of examples.
JB, you could keep the hair on the side of the hawk longer towards you face. comb and wax it forward to cover that area. to make up for coverage. I am a hair stylist and that is what I would do.
I love the fauxhawk style and to get a good hold on it I use Molding Past, which is a product that Johnny B. Hair Care makes. It's awesome you guys should try it if you're looking to get this look!
wtf man, this guy can pull off almost every style! I love the 3rd one with the suit..too bad it looks bad on me =O
what do i tell the hair salon if i wanr a faux hawk like his?
yah its dope….im lookin at hawks tryin 2 see wats best im thinkin this…
can't believe this haircut is still popular….i had it 6 year ago
were could be a good place to get a hair cut so like the third picture?
a place that cuts hair.
I found a website a while back in late July that shows the lengths and how to style this hairstyle. It said that to spray a bit of hair spray and texture it out with wax. I do not use gel because I find it it more thick and I do not prefer the hard hair look. I normally spike my hair right after a shower as I dry it and it still has that wet feeling, not to much or it will bring the hair down with spiking it. Last time I went to the hair stylist I asked for this and she gave me a 4 on the side, I am now going to go one size up to 5 and see how that goes.
Fiber Fiber Fiber! Especially for ppl with thick hair, Fiber by Crew is the end all be all! I have ridiculously thick hair and I've been rockin a foax hawk for the past 5 years. Before I found Fiber I tried using everything… gels, waxes, pomades, molding creams and everything in between to no avail. Since my hair is so thick it would either fall over, clump up, or curl up using those other products.
There are three simple things to remember to get a badass foax hawk especially if you have thick hair: #1 Get some Fiber by Crew. Sure it's expensive, but that's just cause it works… it's about $15 for a relatively small canister. #2 Make sure your hair is COMPLETELY day, any moisture will cluster f#$% your efforts. #3 Make sure your doing the styling in a cool dry place and that your hair/scalp is at room temperature…. don’t start styling right after you've used the blow dryer and your head is warm/hot or if you're sweating from running around… any kind of heat is your enemy.
After that it's smooth sailing, of coarse it'll help if you have your stylist go to town on your head with the thinning sheers and using some sort of relaxing/straightening product. And if you have the time and the patience using a flat iron once your hair is dry will definitely supplement your efforts. Once your hair is completely dry, use the flat iron section by section to straighten your hair, once your hair/scalp has completely cooled down apply the Fiber (the thicker your hair the more you're gunna use) working it into your hair in the general direction you'll want your hawk to look until it disappears, then use a combo and or your hands to style, finally spray with a firm holding hair spray so the style will hold all day! You'll be good to go all day long beatin the gurlies off with a stick!
use american crew wax 100% sure your hair will stay the way you style it
I just had a look at fiber on a website, it says it helps thicken hair? Is this advised to use as i have really thick hair anyway? Thanks 🙂
i have really thin hair wud the faux hawk look good with thin hair
in the 3rd pic i want my hair like that but a lil bit short wut do i tell the hairdresser how to cut it on the sids and the top
Right then – it is very easy to get this haircut. I am a female and recently got the 'do'. For the measurements – about an inch around the crown of the head; for men if you want shorter along the side of the hair. And, I have tapered in the back. For styling purposes: hair wax (you can get it from any corner drug store CVS, Walgreens, ect..) and hair spray. When your doing the do, I found put the wax in and mold it to your liking, and then get the hair dryer and blow the 'hawk' part into place using hairspray while you blow dry on either side of the hawk. The hawk literally last all day.
Beckham looks great with the suit picture – a flaming meterosexual but it isn't a bad thing. Women can enjoy a well groomed man.
Cheers.
is this fohawk the in hairstyle now?? if it is how do you get it cut like the one with the suite. or to suit a kid. When i have mine cut the bottom of the back bit of my hair goes into a rat tail but my mates all go out like a fan at the bottom, how do i get mine like that??? thanks.
I'm 14 and I'm wondering if this haircut would be right for me. I usually get it buzzed in the spring, but let it grow out in the winter, but I think this would look good. I have an oval shaped face and was just wondering if this would fit. Also how long does it have to be to look the best. Thanks, you seem like you know a lot.
HI!
What would you ask the hairdresser?
in the 3rd pic with him in the suit what would i tell my hair dresser to do to the back? becuase i cant see it in the picture
how would i tell my hair dresser to cut my hair like the third pic of him in the suit ?? like the grades and lenght so she will understand it?
