He was indeed a great scientific. But he was not the best one. In fact, no one was the best. No one was the worst.

And also we cannot compare scientists
because there many reasons why each and every one of them choosed to occupy with science...
Einstein is not a representation of the "mad scientist", who his evil. He is the stereotype of the "conscious scientist". Read "Einstein on the beach" and Roland Barthes.
