If you have a straight hair, you need a little effort to dreadlocks your hair by using backcombing. To make dreadlocks with gold color like this, usually you need to color your hair. Simply color it by putting on a two tone hair color. The front is a light brown & the back is gold. You can color it with a rinse. You can also lighten it with bleach. Gold color usually make you look sallow.

You do not need any backcombing or products to get locks. Dreadlocks form from any hair, any race, any ethnicity. I had long straight hair for many years, very straight hair, and over the course of a year I've grown dreadlocks 2" in diamiter.

True although dreads can form in different types of hair and in different races. It is a style better suited for a person of color. I have friend of other races that have dreads too.. but they dont use backcombing... backcombing makes a Caucasian persons hair look nasty and not cute.. The Best way in my opinion is For those with the straight good hair, just part and plat your hair in the sizes you desire and just leave them in, as your new growth starts to grow out, then you just twist the newgrowth with your hands. the plated hair will eventually matt up and your dreads would look more well groomed. Ive Had Dradlocks for only 2 and a half years and they are down my back. Im an African American and i take good care of my hair. wash it, condition it, all the works.. from a distance it look like i have rods cause of the body in my dreads... yes people dreads dont have to look all hard and dead..
